the 360 is an excellent machine. ive signed on to live for about 49 straight days. also, I need to upgrade my PC while we're at the talk. pentium Ds suck ass.

YEs, Xbox360 is good.....but I woudlnt call great.....the hardware isnt all the special....liek come ON! IT LAGS ON OBLIVION!

That's my major annoyance with consoles. You're stuck with the same hardware for 6+ years. And developers have already pushed it to its limits. Now they'll just have to squeeze every last ounce of power to get anything better. And it's only been out two years.

Someone with the incredible patience to push the PS3 to its limits could make an extraordinarily good-looking game. Unfortunately that would likely rule out that game as being cross-platform, not to mention being extraordinarily difficult.

They haven't though, have they? You're just living in a world where you think the games graphics can not be improved on the hardware. Of course it can. Look at a 2003/2004 PS2/Xbox/Gamecube game and then compare it with some of the 2006 releases. There's a big difference there.

^dude, 360 has already been pushed to the limit. they weren't pushing the gamecube to the limit back in 2004. also, my live sign in streak finally ended :(

Look, Crysis is too powerful for consoles. I doubt consoles could even handle Supreme Commander at full speed. It's simple fact that games are already past the level of current consoles.

I think if it were to run on any of the 3 systems, only the PS3 could handle it, but developers don't know how to use all the cores effectively. In the end PC always wins for performance, graphics, and extreme flexibility.
