Just read through that conversation, DSdude, are you in serious mode?

CoD2 looks very, very good. I couldn't get used to controls in the three minutes or so I had with the game, but even so, I will once I get the full Xbox 360 (if, infact, I do).

The killer for me will be to see just what Xbox 1 games run on it. If it's only the Halo's and a couple of others, it could put me off the system.

But those are the only worthwhile xbox exclusive titles.
At this moment im not getting one.
Up until the PS3 95% of 360 games will be available on this gens systems, and the that arnt, dont make up for £270 on the system then £45 on the game jus to play it with better graphics.
Im waiting for PS3 and Revo, 360 does nothing for me.

I'm always in serious mode. Well, except occasionally on MSN where I'm in "teh humor" mode.

I'm not getting one at launch, but with a confirmed 200 playable Xbox 1 games at launch, I'm almost certainly getting one (maybe after christmas - do you think there will be a price drop then?!)

DSD, what do you mean when your playing builds? What are they like, are you playing them on the PC, and what other games are you playing/impressions.

there probably won't be an x360 price drop for a long time

I found a 360 display unit and i have to say it looks great (second best looking next gen machine in my opinion....revo (the prototype anyway (nintendo leave it alone)) coming first). of course looks are not a very good reason for getting a new console. The graphics are nice but nothing thatll surprise a pc gamer with a top rig too much. The controller is better than the xbox 1 i think. it looks pretty much the same but its alot more comfortable to hold and it now has 4 shoulder buttons which is nice. The improvements are very subtle though.
To be honest though i wouldnt bother with a 360 if it wasnt for oblivion. No other game is grabbing me by the throat and saying "U WILL BUY ME AND WATEVER IS NEEDED TO PLAY OR U ARE A MISERABLE GIT" (i hear voices :P). Id get it for pc but my measly 9600 laptop graphics aint running that. I wont get one though till oblivion is released...which aint till next year :(.
Nice console though. cant wait to see what it can do 2 years from now.

I think there's plenty of games which grab me by the throat, but I'm just worried, judging by the release lists so far, that there's only going to be one game a week or something...

Neumie, check out Kameo which certainly screams out to me as does Condemned (yes, I know it's out on the PS3, Biggy), which is going to be truly awesome.

Kameo looks great but i played the available demo and wasnt that inpressed. Wouldnt buy it based on the demo anyway and definately wouldnt get a 360 for it especially.

Well, the first 360 reviews are beginning to pop up on the major websites.

1up has reviewed several games, but I'm not sure whether I trust them or not - they've given PG3 a 10/10. It seems a little high to me considering what everyone has been saying about it who has played a demo of it.

Kameo looks as fine as it promised, receiving good enough reviews, 8.7 at Gamespot and 8.4 at IGN, but the big let down is the length, apparantly. The sports games aren't going great, receiving 7's and 8's, with Madden the pick of the bunch with an eight.

Gun looks good based on review scores, receiving a 10/10 from somewhere, but an 8/10 brought it back down to earth.

All looks well - I'd buy Kameo, now I'm waiting for PDZ, Call of Duty and Condemned to be reviewed!

After guitar heroes got a 10 I looked at how many 10s they give. Far too many. Though I'm sure it's a great game, as was Guitar Heroes.
