wait a second here, fanboy of what?? ur the fanboy, im just saying that the xbox is not as great as everyone is saying, and i thought we were just comparing it to the computer so don't say im a fanboy when im comparing two things.

I simply do not see any reasoning behind calling me a fanboy. It's simple hype, is all. Asking me why I want to get a 360 is on the verge of calling me a fanboy as well. What the hell are your (not you, RIP, but everyone here in general) problems with Microsoft's Xbox 360 console? I'm making the decision to purchase it. It "may not be as great as everyone's saying," but I am entitled to an opinion too. That opinion, obviously, is that I enjoy what the 360 has to offer.

Oh, and ShadowMarth: Step off. You're no one's hero. If I feel the need to further explain myself and clarify some of my mistakes, then that's my right. However, saying that I have an "overinflated ego" and an "unwillingness to lose" is a personal attack to my person. Certainly, I had no right to call RIP a fanboy. But, you had no right to personally insult me. Let us sort this situation out by ourselves, we're not children.

ShadowMarth, DO NOT try to be "mature" and act as the buffer. You'll only be getting yourself into more trouble than it's worth (and that's a real-life lesson as well). To RIP: I apologize for my previous post. However, you still shouldn't have called me a fanboy either.

yea we're cool, its just for sum reason i just detest the 360 for no reason, i dont like how it came out so early, if it came out later i might of thought about getting one too. i didn't mean to take it out on u though

Yep. They are trying to get the edge on Sony by releasing first. They are also trying the simultaneous (to an extent) worldwide launch. I honestly don't understand this part either, because only the US (and to a much lesser extent, Europe) has a real taste for the Xbox. I don't blame them for trying to get Japan, though. And, as always, they are going for the "holiday rush."

It's pretty 50/50 as far as flop or success goes. If they get the launch right, they might have a chance. If not, then they're done for.

But then again, Microsoft has some pretty deep pockets...

it is funny cause at best buy half the employees are crazy about the 360 and the other half of us hate it, it is funny because we get into arguments over it big time while we are working, i feel bad for the kids that get the sucky Core package of xbox for christmas cause their parents dont know, speaking of which i saw a freakin $700 bundle at fry's damnnnn

Saw a couple of eBay auctions for people selling 360's from contests that they won. One went up to $3300 USD. What the? Who would pay THAT MUCH for a console? Might as well put that money into a gaming machine. I personally think that ANY gaming console over $500 is simply not worth it. A $500 graphics card is a whole 'nother story entirely. Lolz.

If I were a kid wanting a Premium package and got a Core package, well, I'd be rather disappointed. Sometimes I wonder why companies charge so much for their products. But, then again, capitalism is pretty much taking over.

BTW: Have you seen anyone camping yet? There's one guy camping already in front of the Best Buy in Washington where Bill Gates will be at launch.

ok now this guy is REDICULOUS!!! there is still 2 more days till it comes out, maybe he thinks it comes out tomorrow lmao. but yea it is kinda stupid that he is doing that already but if any of u are going to best buy the day after thanksgiving i suggest u get there after 12:00 pm or get there in the moring at 12:00 am, i know its crazy but if u wanna get the good deals...
